Break the chains of pornography addiction

iPhone 4 used by the “Adult” Entertainment Industry

I just came across an article by Joel Schectman that has made me literally sick to my stomach. You can read the original article HERE

Why is  it, that whenever we have an amazing technical breakthrough like video chatting over the cell phone, someone thinks of how they can use it to distribute pornography?

If we look back at most technical breakthroughs and ways that people market on the Internet- the “Adult” Entertainment Industry is usually the ones who help develop them.

I applaud Apple for being so tough about denying any applications that distribute pornography, but I am not sure if they will be able to do anything to stop this.

I encourage you to take as many precautions as possible to use this technology for good.

Some Helpful tips to Consider about the iPhone’s new “FaceTime” program.

* Set limits on how you will use this program.  Maybe you will only use this program with your family to speak with loved ones.  If you don’t think you will use this program at all, then look for ways to deactivate this feature.

*  Monitor your children’s use with this type of technology.  If your child has an iPhone 4, then make sure you know who is on their contact list.  If you have teenagers- sit down and have the talk.  I guarantee that someone at school has already showed them this feature.

* If you fear relapse, remember to talk to your support person.

As much as I hate to say it, Pornography is not going away anytime soon,  so we need to be aware of what’s happening and plan how we can resist the temptation.
